DNA authorization!

I just found out that we now have authorization to have the DNA test done! Yay! My agency told me that the test will be scheduled within the next week or two...then results hopefully will take no more than 2-3 weeks (praying), then preapproval should take ATLEAST 60 days to get...then on to PGN!! Also, our case IS in family court & my agency said the social worker is supposed to be done with the report around the middle of June. (I'm doing the happy dance)
AND they said they were going to ask for some new pictures!!

PAINTBALL WAR!!

This post has nothing to do with our adoption, just our family :) We had our son Collin's 11th birthday party today. Paintball is the new "in" thing with him. We bought him a pb gun & supplies for his b-day, and we had his party at a new local paintball field...we/they had a blast...even though getting shot DOES hurt, and I got a scorching sunburn!!

Visit Trip

Well, we went ahead & set up our visit trip. We will be leaving on July 12th & returning on the 17th. Even though we don't have DNA completed yet (hopefully all will be done by then) we/I decided we'd take the risk and go even if we don't have it yet. Corynn will be 6 months old then and I really really really want see her & know she is real. After I booked our flight & made reservations at the hotel I packed her a suitcase full of goodies that I've been saving up for our visit...& I have 2 more months to collect more things!

We'll be there soon baby!!

Update!

Just when I was feeling a little down & seconds after getting off the phone with another Guatemama, I checked my email & found a medical update waiting for me! Corynn had her set of immunizations :(
and the doctor also said that she has a normal physical exam, she has a nice social smile and follows everything with her eyes, she says goo,goo, :( Weight=12 pounds. When I was reading the email to David I started tearing up talking about her having a nice social smile...not that that's not a WONDERFUL thing, I just wish I could be there to see it, and to comfort her after her shots.

Trampolines are evil!!

My younger son, Cameron, broke is leg a few weeks ago. He is a master of stunts & decided to get underneath the trampoline at my mom's house and put his legs str8 up to press his feet against the trampoline...as the other kids continued to jump. When I brought him to the Orthopedist...Cam's shirt appropriatly saying "I do all my own stunts"...he laughed & said "ah, trampolines, an Othopedist best friend...I give them out at Christmas"...ah, a comedian too.



It hasn't affected his Playstation skills



Luckily he didn't need his thigh high cast for too long, it was removed a few days ago..he is still limping around alittle, hopefully that is only b/c he is still getting used to having his cast off.

mini birthday

Corynn is 4 months old today. Happy 4 month birthday! Just wondering what she's doing right now. :(
I received my passport yesterday! So as soon as DNA is done David and I can go visit! Praying for a July trip. My 30th birthday is July 11th & then David and my's 10 year anniversary is the 18th...so getting to hold our daughter would be a great way to celebrate.
